Chicken and Mango Skewers - You go Grill

Skewers
Chicken and mango skewers  waiting to go on the grill.
We found the recipe via William-Sonoma - and added
our own touches to it!

Is it me?  Isn't there just something so lovely about browsing around William Sonoma?   I can always imagine my kitchen stocked with all their goodies, from utensils, to cookbooks, to linens and more.  I swear they're not paying me to say it either (I wish! Perhaps someday, a girl can dream....)

When we don't have time to stop in, at the very least, we pick up a copy of their catalog and do our drooling that way.

This month there were some great recipes to get us all sexed up for summer.   But the one that sounded super delectable was their chicken and mango skewers.  We switched it up a little, adding pineapple, peppers and red onion, it's really hard to follow a recipe exactly.  We always want to add our own touch to it somehow!  But never-the-less, the marinade is damn tasty.  It's consists of: Oil, lime, lime zest and a variety of seasonings to give it a little kick!
Todd grilled these up in mere minutes and the results were so good, we thought we'd share it with y'all.

Oo..yumm, my family's planning a BBQ sometime soon. I can try this out. Thanks for sharing.

I love the way it smells when you walk in there. Always like something good simmering on the stove.

Hi Erinn...thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Glad you liked it. The chicken and mango skewers look out of the world. I am sure they are as tasty as they look. Mangoes are big in India. This is mango season here and one eats the ripe fruit raw. The unripened version is used in curries, pulses and in pickles. people from various parts in India fight over who has the best mangoes :)

Looks delicious...so fresh and just in time for warm weather. Williams-Sonoma is too incredible. I could lose all my money there, all of it.

Honestly - those look amazing! I love grilling season and couldn't be more excited about it. I love the idea of mango in your kabobs!

how fun is that picture? answer: very extremely fun.

between you and me, mango + lime and honey marinated shrimp + grill = awesome.
